We are excited to celebrate Greek heritage, mythology, and culture through a variety of engaging activities and events throughout the week. Each myth, hero, and historical figure represents a unique piece in the rich mosaic of Greek history. Below is the schedule of events for the week:

MONDAY, 3rd FEBRUARY: Dress-Up Day & Photo Booth

• Dress-Up Day – Gods/Goddesses, Heroes, and Greek Mythical Creatures
  Students are invited to come dressed as characters from Greek myths. There will be a competition and fashion show with prizes, and students can share fun facts about the characters they are dressed as during Form Time.
• Photo Booth
  A special photo booth will be set up during break times for students to take pictures in their costumes. These photos will be featured on social media.

TUESDAY, 4th FEBRUARY:

• Ancient Greek Hero Awards Ceremony (Mon, Feb 4 – Mon, Feb 10)
  Students will be awarded the Hero of the Week certificate for positive achievements and behaviour during Form Time throughout the week.
• Greek Theatre Performance: ‘Διατροφογυμναστείτε’ with Christina Fessa
  • KG – KS1: 10:00am – 11:00am, Sports Hall
  • KS2: 11:30am – 12:30pm, Sports Hall
• Calendar Sale (Primary School)
  A fundraiser featuring creative student-made calendars. This will take place during break times.

WEDNESDAY, 5th FEBRUARY: Loukoumia (Cyprus Delights) Sale

Primary School Only
Students will have the opportunity to purchase Cyprus Delights during break times, for 1 euro.

THURSDAY, 6th FEBRUARY:

• Greek Myth Storytelling during Breaks
  Greek myths will be read during break times, either in Greek or English, in the play area or library:
  • 1st Break: Early Years, KS1, and KS2
  • 2nd Break: Early Years, KS1, and KS2
• Mufti Day: Blue and White
  Students are encouraged to dress in blue and white to celebrate Greek heritage.

FRIDAY, 7th FEBRUARY: Mythological Mosaic Art Project

• Greek Culture Lesson
  Students will collaborate to create a large mosaic or collage inspired by Greek mythology and art, which will be displayed in their year groups.

Ongoing Activities During the Week:

• Greek Myth Story Creation & Display
  Students will create their own mythical creatures, Greek gods, or goddesses to be displayed in the school entrance.
